Last week the Humanities Lab had an open event, inviting everyone at Lund University to discover the lab, its technology and experts!

On 26–27 February 2026, the Lund University Humanities Lab welcomed researchers from across the university to a two-day open event at LUX, celebrating its designation as an LU Core Facility. The event highlighted the Lab’s role as a university-wide research infrastructure supporting research on human behavior: cognition, communication, and culture.

Visitors explored the Lab’s facilities through success talks from users and experts, guided tours, and hands-on demonstrations. There were opportunities to try and discuss methods such as eye-tracking, EEG, BioPac systems (how about a lie detector test?), 3D scanning, motion capture, virtual reality, and live green-screen environments.

Researchers from a wide range of faculties and career stages took part, reflecting the Humanities Lab’s role as a common meeting place for different research approaches at Lund University.

For those who could not attend, the Humanities Lab continues to welcome researchers interested in exploring how its expertise and infrastructure can support future projects. If you are interested in knowing more, how about taking 4.20 minutes to look at the recently finished lab presentation film?
