Education

Curious about what EEG experiments can reveal about language learning? Or perhaps you're more interested in how motion capture technology can help document human movement, how GPS and georeferencing tools are used in digital archaeology, or how to analyse data with R?

At the Lund University Humanities Lab, our pedagogical activities span a wide range of disciplines and technologies, for example:

Brain imaging and ERP research to understand cognitive processes,
Motion Capture and 3D documentation techniques for studying gesture, movement, and space,
Audio and video recording/editing tutorials in our LARM studio,
Text and audio mining for digital research,
Statistics and data analysis with R, tailored for researchers in the humanities and social sciences.

Whether you're a student, teacher, or researcher, our courses and tutorials offer hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools in an interdisciplinary environment. Join us on campus or on some occasions online and discover new ways to explore human behavior, communication, and culture.

General information

The Humanities Lab offers various courses and group tutorials each semester. Courses are primarily intended for PhD students and researchers, but master students can also take part.

Participants will receive a certificate of the completed coursework, but the Lab does not award course credits. Participants who need credits for courses must clear this with their home departments/supervisors who in turn manage and assign credits. If you are a PhD student, make sure to check in advance with your supervisor that the course can be accredited in your individual study plan.
