International symposium Connecting discourse in speech and gesture

The Humanities Lab hosted an international symposium, <link http: projekt.ht.lu.se spegedis>Connecting discourse in speech and gesture, on March 30-31, 2017. The meeting was organised by Maria Graziano, Emanuela Campisi, and Marianne Gullberg. Eight speakers from the US, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, and Sweden discussed the properties of discourse and pragmatics manifested in speech, in speech and gesture, and in sign language. It was attended by some 30 participants, and was also streamed live to participants even further afield.
