A new archive
We are currently in the process of migrating to a new archiving solution. All permanent URLs are preserved (i.e. those starting with 'hdl.handle.net' e.g. https://hdl.handle.net/10050/00-0000-0000-0003-66A4-2).
User accounts do not carry over however. Please contact the archive manager (accessing some data may require special permission by the researcher/custodian).
Some functionality, such as user deposits via the web interface are not yet ready for release. Please contact the archive manager for help if you wish to archive with us.
What kind of data can I store?
The corpus server currently hosts images, audio, video, and various kinds of text data such as word lists, transcriptions, and KML. To ensure that the data is still readable in the future, uncompressed, and preferably open formats should be used when possible. (For example, MP3 is not allowed, since it is both compressed and a proprietary format.)

Will my research data have to become publicly available?
What kind of documentation (metadata) will my data need to have?
Data hosted on the Corpus Server need to be documented using the CMDI metadata standard (profiles clarin.eu:cr1:p_1407745712035 and clarin.eu:cr1:p_1407745712064) before being uploaded. If unsure how to document your data, a spreadsheet is usually a good starting point. Contact the archive manager for options on how to continue. Information such as collection date, content-type (e.g. narratives, conversations, experiment data, songs etc.), language and participants may or may not apply to you data, but those and more can all be indiviudally described and published.
Are the data backed up?
Yes. The Archive server and all its data are hosted and backed up by LDC.
