Richard AnderssonPhD student in Cognitive Science and laboratory assistant at the Lund University Humanities Lab.
I'm interested in real-world language processing and communication, and its processing during concurrent access to visual context information. My aim is to push current language--vision research in a more natural direction with less restricted language tasks, more complex speech and more complex visual information.
This is important in order to know whether many of the findings using simpler material will generalize to real-world circumstances. Furthermore, it is important for knowing how much we have to rely on pure language processing, and how much we just figure out due to the situation and pragmatic aspects. Research
I am interested in how visual context information, e.g. the possibility to look around at our surroundings and survey our situation, affects our language production and perception.
