Person

I am a Doctoral Candidate at the English linguistics department and a research assistant at the Humanities Lab. My main research interest is to examine the cognitive aspects of reading, more specifically the monitoring processes involved in the understanding of written text. I am also involved in a research project focusing on the use of eye-tracking in classroom settings, improving multimodal teaching materials, and examining the effect of disfluency on learning. I have previously examined the influence of sound and music on eye movements, both during search in dynamic stimuli (such as video clips) and during low-level eye movement tasks (such as an antisaccade task).
