As a researcher, you are welcome to participate in the courses that the lab provides. If you plan to use lab equipment for eye movement measurement or ERP measurement, VR equipment with more advanced systems, it is necessary that you have participated in any of the preparatory courses that the lab provides around and research environment, or can show that you have equivalent knowledge.
But many of our short courses are also suitable for researchers. In addition, for example, we offer:
* If you write a book or research paper, you might be interested in our LaTeX-course, where you can learn how to manage and edit large documents. Or you just want to improve on your Word skills, and can get some of our course Word for essay printers.
* Excel course can be used for example for those who want to know how to sort the data you have gathered, and get help to structure them. You'll also learn how you can make charts and graphs and change them.
* If you need to collect and transcribe material, code and analyze it in different ways, you may benefit from our course Praat for acoustic analysis, and our various courses around the CLAN program, which can be used to transcribe, code and analyze spoken ( and written) material.
* We offer courses in digitization of audio and video data. Both tapes and old LPs can be digitized.
* We also have scanning capabilities (including, for example, slides and photo negatives).
* We have developed a short lesson with tutorials (which you can work individually, or watch with the IT teacher or other lab staff) around the experimental program: ScriptLog, E-prime, Psyscope.
* Statistical analysis: Statistics course as lab metodolog give once a year is a good basis for the humanist who want to learn more about how statistics can be used in the research.
* Metodologen hits you also like individually and discuss your specific research projects, and help with the experimental and statistical methods that suit you best.
* It-educator, metodologen or anyone else in the lab who knows a lot about your area would like to meet and discuss how a computer program or lab equipment could be used in your research project.
We are also very interested if you as a researcher wants to create new courses, workshops or seminars in or cooperation with the Humanities Lab.
